We’re getting ready to mark World Mental Health Day. The day is an opportunity for all of us to raise awareness of mental health issues. The theme of this year’s event set by the World Federation for Mental Health is suicide and suicide prevention.
Suicide statistics across the UK continue to rise, we hope to encourage more people to access counselling as early intervention could prevent unnecessary loss.
Seeking counselling support is not just for when you are in crisis. It is an empowering step which can help you gain a deeper insight into understanding the ‘why’ whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, loss or coming to terms with life changing events.
Come along and join us on Thursday 10 October at Harpur Square, Bedford, where you’ll find us among lots of local organisations all talking about positive mental health. Find out more about our range of counselling services including:-
- Free short term service for NHS patients
- Free short term service for Victims of Crime
- Subsidised long term support
- Counselling training courses
If you’re struggling The Counselling Foundation offer a ‘Direct’ confidential counselling service which is BACP accredited. You will be offered up to 20 sessions where you see the same counsellor each week for 50 minutes. As a guide we offer a sliding scale of fees based on income.
A counselling session costs the Foundation between £45 – £65 and we ask clients to pay as much as they can afford.
