This week is Trustees Week 2020, an annual event to recognise and celebrate the vital work of our trustees who are all volunteers giving up their time to make important decisions about our charity’s work.
It’s an opportunity to highlight the amazing work of trustees, support boards to improve their governance, and encourage new people to consider trusteeship and volunteering opportunities.
We thank our board of trustees who are working harder than ever for our charity through their dedication and commitment;
Mandy Macqueen has spent months training and participating in not just one, but two virtual marathons to help fundraise vital funds for our subsidised counselling service.
Supporting the fundraising efforts, was our Mindful GP, Dr Wendy Molefi, who recently helped us to host an online ‘Approaching the menopause mindfully’ evening.
Not just content with being a trustee, Emma Branch has embraced our organisation so much that she has been inspired to become our new CEO.
Our thanks also to Tom Smith, and lastly but not least, Julian Gell for his continued energy and commitment in his role as Chair of Trustees.
If you would like to become part of our mental health charity, we are seeking new trustees to join our board
As the Foundation continues to grow, we are looking to build upon our existing board of trustees and skillset. We are seeking applicants who have a keen interest in the promotion of positive mental health who can provide support and challenge to the Chair, Chief Executive and senior management team as members of our trustee board.
We are particularly interested to meet people who have the time and energy to become directly involved in supporting some of the projects we undertake, giving advice and support to our management team. We will welcome applications from people based in and around Hertfordshire or London.
However, our board has met successfully for the last several months on a remote basis and this means that your home location is less important than your skills and the value you can bring to us.
If you feel that your skills can play a part of the Foundation’s growth, we would love to hear from you.
