Introduction to Counselling
Not just for those looking to become a counsellor. Our 12 hour Introduction to Counselling course will provide you with an overview of the different modalities; which includes psychodynamic, person centred, integrative and CBT. You will also gain a good grounding in key topics in counselling, including its cultural and historical origins, different theoretical orientations and the vital role of the counselling relationship.
Foundation Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling

The Foundation Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling Skills & Theory is a 1-year part time access course.
It aims to provide those who wish to develop counselling skills in work-based and other settings with the skills and knowledge, which will enhance and support their work.
The Foundation Certificate also provides the grounding for further training to become a professional counsellor. Whether you choose to undertake our Foundation Certificate alone or if you would like to continue the journey to becoming a fully accredited counsellor; our Foundation course is the first step.
Alternatively, it is also widely recognised as an access course to many other institutions’ professional training.

Two groups are being delivered in South London either the morning or evening session, you will only attend one.

London Connected Learning Centre is based in a beautifully refurbished Victorian school building at the junction of Rectory Grove and North Street in Clapham Old Town.
If you are coming from Clapham Common tube, exit by the stairs on the right. When you have reached street level turn left and walk down The Pavement past the fire station. The CLC is on the left. London CLC is well served by public transport via Clapham Junction on National Rail services, Clapham Common via the Underground Northern Line, Wandsworth Road via the London Overground and is also on numerous local bus routes.

14 per cohort, AM and PM.
The course may inspire you to go on and study our professional part-time psychodynamic counselling courses which are Post-Graduate and Masters level psychotherapy training programmes which are endorsed and accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
We are currently exploring the prospect of hosting the next stage in becoming a counsellor in South London with our two year Diploma course.
Currently this course is offered in our St Albans and Bedford centres.
