It was a pleasure to welcome Verulam Rotarian Bob Newton to our St Albans Counselling & Counselling Training Centre on Friday. It gave us the opportunity to show Bob around our centre, for him to meet our team and learn about our low-cost counselling services and how every week we support over 500 people who would not otherwise have counselling.
He was impressed by the breadth of the organisation and the care extended to clients and students but most of all by the enthusiasm and devotion that was so evident.
Bob, who is Club Chair of the Community Service Committee, will now put forward a case for us to be considered as a major beneficiary for the St Albans Charity Cycle Ride in May 2019.
Regardless of the outcome, he was inspired by what he saw, and through his efforts and those of their publicity officer, will help let more people know about the low-cost counselling help and BACP accredited counselling training we offer.
