Fundraise

Fundraise for the Foundation while you shop!

You can help us raise funds to support people on low incomes to receive funded counselling while you shop – it costs nothing but a small amount of your time.

What do you need to do to raise money?
Register by clicking easyfundraising  and then search for “counselling” where you will find our centres and be able to choose which one.

When you shop, instead of going directly to the retailer website, log into easyfundraising first and click on the retailer you want to shop with. You’ll then be taken to the retailer’s website where you shop as you would normally. But because you visited easyfundraising first, your selected centre gets a donation.

What’s the catch?
No catch. Whatever you buy costs exactly the same as it would if you visited the retailer site directly.

We have registered the Foundation itself and then each of our five centres so that you can choose which one to support; St Albans, Luton, Bedford, Broxbourne & Ware, Stevenage – the money will be ring-fenced to support clients most in need.

A tip for you
Download the Easy Fundraising reminder so that you get a prompt each time you go on to an eligible site.

Refer a Friend
Refer-a-friend, family member or colleague to earn a £5 bonus donation for the Foundation.
https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/counsellingfoundationheadoffice/ All you need to do is create an account first @Easy Fundraising
(includes instructions how to log on, Invite your friends, family and colleagues to join easyfundraising)

How does easyfundraising work?
Easyfundraising works with over 2000 retailers who have  agreed to pass a donation to your cause when you shop with them. The donation is usually a percentage of how much you spend with them but it can also be a set amount, such as £30 for a new car insurance policy.

The retailers include Amazon, M&S, Boden, John Lewis, Argos and various travel companies.

The Foundation has now joined Amazon Smile so that 0.5% of any item purchased goes directly to helping people access low-cost counselling in our centres.  Amazon Smile offers exactly the same products and prices as the usual Amazon site.

All you need to do is log onto Amazon through smile.amazon.co.uk and simply sign up for a FREE account, choose to support The Counselling Foundation Head Office – St Albans and then earn a FREE donation for our charitable organisation whenever you buy an eligible product at smile.amazon.co.uk.

Every time you shop you could help raise FREE donations to help more people in need access our affordable counselling.

AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on amazon.co.uk. The difference is that when you shop on smile.amazon.co.uk, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) to your organisation.

Fundraise for the Foundation through the Broxbourne Lottery

Each year the Foundation has pledged to create opportunities and events to help raise money and fundraise to support those on low incomes to access counselling.

Now there is a new fun way to support and raise awareness of  The Counselling Foundation and their essential work to ensure those in the community of Broxbourne has access to counselling regardless of their income.  The Counselling Foundation is just one of the charities that will benefit from a new lottery initiative supporting local good causes in Broxbourne.

Broxbourne lottery leaflet

The Broxbourne Lottery was created in 2017 by the Borough of Broxbourne to support community projects and local causes.

Tickets are only £1 per week with 60% going to local good causes with prizes up to £25,000.  More importantly the money raised directly benefits your chosen charity or specific good cause like The Counselling Foundation which you can search for here.  So if the Foundation is your chosen charity we will receive 50p from the ticket purchase price and 10p will go to other local good causes.

Every ticket has a 1 in 50 chance of winning a prize every week.  The draw will take place every Saturday night with the results posted on the Broxbourne Lottery website, Facebook

and Twitter. Winners will be advised directly, so if you don’t have the time to check who’s won, you will be informed by the Broxbourne Lottery.

Click the link for more information about the Broxbourne Lottery and to buy tickets.

It is simple to join in – just visit the link below for more information.
