Telephone and Online / Video Counselling

The Counselling Foundation is proud to continue delivering our services during the COVID-19 pandemic. In line with government guidelines our face to face counselling is temporarily suspended but we are pleased to offer counselling remotely via phone and online, depending on your preference.

For many, telephone and online / video counselling offer increased flexibility and, while it is a different experience to that of face-to-face counselling, the service provided is no less professional or valuable. It also allows us to adhere to social distancing requirements, ensuring the safety of our clients and staff.

We’re working harder than ever to reach more people

During these uncertain and challenging times we find ourselves in due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic with lock down and social distancing measures in place more people than ever before will need mental health support.  Whether we are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or stressed we are affected in different ways at different times, which can make looking after our emotional wellbeing difficult.

We’re here to listen

Opening up and being able to connect with someone to talk about your thoughts, worries and feelings can give yourself the time and space to reflect and adjust.

To ensure our team of experienced counsellors are able to listen to our clients the Foundation are able to provide online counselling as a service to our communities.

Our online and phone counselling will be available beyond the Coronavirus lockdown measures.

Can’t afford private counselling?

We regularly have a range of grants available to help subsidise weekly the cost of your counselling if you are unable to pay our minimum weekly counselling fees.  Please ask our admin teams for further information when you enquire.

Receive all of the benefits of counselling from the comfort of your own home

We provide access to mental health support, offering convenient appointments.  Our sessions offer the same support and confidentiality as face to face counselling but allows flexibility, whilst observing social distancing measures.

At present there is no wait list because of the flexibility this option offers.

Bereaved by coronavirus?

We are able to offer specialist bereavement support, to those affected by loss due to Coronavirus.

If you need to talk to someone we are now able to offer weekly counselling sessions via:
phone or a simple to use online webcam or phone camera service like Zoom.

We understand that for many of us already experiencing anxiety, depression, loss these feelings may have been compounded since isolation restrictions have been imposed.
