Our counselling

The Counselling Foundation provides emotional support to people facing difficulties in their life. During times of challenge we may feel anxious, depressed or lonely. Counselling provides a safe environment to explore your feelings with a trained person to help you gain deeper insight into your difficulties. We aim to support you in understanding yourself better to make constructive changes to improve your relationships and emotional wellbeing. Counselling sessions are confidential, so you can talk about things you may not feel comfortable sharing with anyone else.  As a BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) accredited organisation, all our counsellors work to a high professional standard to offer an ethical and responsive counselling service.

We are open for face to face, telephone and online/video counselling services. At our counselling centres, where we provide face to face services, we have implemented strict safety measures that adhere to government guidance.

Part funded counselling
As a charity, we believe that everyone should have access to counselling regardless of income. We have a fee structure that is supported by grants and donations to enable us to provide affordable counselling to as many people as possible who apply for our services.

We will discuss with you the duration and cost of counselling that is most appropriate for you and your situation.
