Discover a 12 hour weekday evening counselling skills course | Where will your counselling training journey take you?
Ideal for those who have no previous experience of counselling and are looking to study counselling at an introduction level.
This short 4 week Introduction to Counselling course provides a taster of an experiential counselling skills course and is beneficial if you are looking to gain self awareness, or also if you are considering a change of career to counselling. Or you may work in a role where skills for active listening and the need to support distressed people effectively are required, either way the course will give you a good foundation of knowledge.
How well we listen has a major impact on our job effectiveness, and on the quality of relationships with others. Developing active listening skills will help improve our productivity, as well as ability to influence, persuade, negotiate and avoid conflicts in any area of life.
With as many as 1 in 4 people experiencing a mental health problem each year in the UK this stand-alone counselling skills course is invaluable, especially for those in private or public health, nursing, caring, counselling, mental health, teaching, mentoring, guidance, customer services, human resources, management, or pastoral areas.
The course may inspire you to go on and study our professional part-time psychodynamic counselling courses which are Post-Graduate and Masters level psychotherapy training programmes which are endorsed and accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
