I’m running to raise funds to help more people share what’s worrying them with a trained counsellor.  One in four people suffer from a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, bereavement or life changing events.  The Foundation offer subsidised counselling that can help to improve family life, reduce isolation and encourage people back into paid or volunteering work.

Week 5 Blog

Ok so last week on Wednesday I did my short fast set of repeats (interval training) running up and down a hill 20 times and a fastish run (running fast but not flat out), called a tempo run, on Friday for 4 miles.

Then to end my week I decided with the weather forecast of high winds and rain for Sunday that I would do my long run on Saturday. This week was a cutback week (you run fewer miles!) so I did 11 miles. Was a lovely day, a bit windy and the trail course was a bit muddy. 11 miles now feels like 5 miles used to. With the weather on Sunday I was so glad I went out on Saturday.!!
