Thursday 1 February 2018 | 10am – 3pm
Staff, trainees and counsellors from The Counselling Foundation will all be getting involved in #TimetoTalk on 1 February 2018.
Celebrating it’s 10th year, the national campaign run by charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness has been continuously helping to improve the attitudes and behaviours of millions towards mental health. The aim is to get as many people as possible talking about mental health and show that talking about this once-taboo issue doesn’t need to be difficult.
Social contact is proven to have the most impact on changing attitudes and behaviour towards people with mental health problems. Time to Talk Day is a chance for all of us to be more open about mental health – to talk, to listen, to change lives. The campaign this year to encourage everyone to talk about mental health is:
“Any place is the right place to talk about mental health”, whether you are at home or at work”.
We’ll be at The Mall in Luton, at near M&S. This is an opportunity for us to be present in our local community and let them know the Foundation have a centre in Luton and talk about the services that we offer.
For those looking to listen and support others in counselling as a career, we’ll be on hand to share details of our counselling training courses.
