We celebrate our inspirational women… by recognising the hard work and achievements of our predominately female team here at the Foundation. From our staff to teaching team and our counsellors, many of whom are juggling home schooling with supporting the mental health of our communities all from home.
We pay tribute to our inspirational Foundation Certificate Programme Tutor, Pam Firth, who recently retired after an incredible 20 years of service at The Counselling Foundation.
Pam inspired generations of counsellors across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire over the years and worked tirelessly supporting Foundation students and colleagues. We’re grateful for Pam’s dedication and contribution during her outstanding career and leadership in the role of Programme Tutor of the Foundation Certificate and Introductory courses. We are delighted Pam will continue to be connected with the Foundation.
We know Pam’s clinical and psychosocial expertise will continue to be in demand, as an independent consultant, lecturing, or as a guest speaker in the world of palliative care, bereavement and mental wellbeing. Other new ventures include joining the board of the national charity Grief Encounter as their Clinical Trustee.
“Pam’s legacy includes a team and students who benefit from her unparalleled experience in delivering high quality training. With thanks to Pam, our Introduction to Counselling and Foundation Certificate programmes are highly regarded as robust courses of self-development within our community.” Mimie Hollist, Head of Training Operations
