During these uncertain and challenging times more people than ever are seeking mental health support. The Counselling Foundation is proud to continue delivering our services during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are pleased to offer counselling remotely via phone and online, depending on your preference and our Stevenage centre will be opening soon for face to face sessions, please revisit the website for updates.

For many, telephone and online / video counselling offer increased flexibility and, while it is a different experience to that of face-to-face counselling, the service provided is no less professional or valuable. It also allows us to adhere to social distancing requirements, ensuring the safety of our clients and staff.

More information about how we are currently delivering counselling services and how to access them, can be found here.

Finding us:

We are situated at the south of the High Street a few minutes’ walk from the bridge that goes to Tesco’s and the New Town.

We are next door to the Chequers Pub and under the archway, you will see our door in the side of the building up a few steps.

Across the road is King Georges Park and King George Doctors Surgery.

The Gordon Craig Theatre and the Stevenage Rail Station are a 15 minute walk away.

Driving we are just a few minutes from the A1 and Lister Hospital.

Parking is free outside 166a, however it is rare to obtain a space. A few hundred yards away nearer Tesco’s in Ditchmore Lane parking is free for 2 hours and going north of the High Street towards the main shops, Waitrose etc it is free for 3 hrs.

There is a car park behind the Coach and Horses pub a 2 minute walk away and the fee for 4hrs is £1.00.

The car park behind the King George Surgery is not for our use and we would not advise our clients to park there.
