We deliver many short courses and events covering a variety of topics including our Introduction to Counselling course, Becoming an Effective Listener course, CPD (continued professional development) and bespoke Business Training services. Short Courses
Introduction to Counselling

This 12-hour course is designed for anyone who is interested in finding out more about counselling training. It also provides skills used in other helping professions such as mental health work and coaching.

The course covers:

  • What counselling is
  • Active listening skills
  • Identifying different theoretical approaches to counselling
  • Developing self-reflection
Becoming an Effective Listener Course

This 6-hour course is suitable for anyone who does a job where they really need to be able to listen. You may be an HR professional, a team lead, a support/peer support worker, health or social care worker or in the beauty therapy industry. You may wish to enhance your relationships and interpersonal skills with tools that will allow you to support others by truly listening whilst keeping yourself emotionally safe and grounded.

This course will allow you to:

  • Improve your deep listening skills
  • Listen to what is not being said
  • Establish emotional boundaries
  • Know when to signpost
  • Confidentiality
  • Challenge and give feedback

Our CPD group organises events throughout the year on a range of topics that are relevant to the themes we are seeing in our clients or in society.  These CPDs are designed for counselling students and counselling practitioners.
