Robert Cuming BSc, UKCP

Robert started at the Foundation in December 2011. Previous to working at the Foundation he initially started his career in banking at Barclays Bank PLC, and then went to the Princes Trust to manage their flagship Business programme. Robert arrived at the Foundation after management roles at the Samaritans, and was the deputy CEO at WHCM. He also runs an Intergrative psychotherapy private practice in West London.

He aims to enable the charity and the people we serve, whether this is staff, clients and counsellors to work in an environment that is supportive of the work they do, and ensure that the charity is well funded and we are meeting financial and regulatory obligations.

What do you like best about working for the Foundation?

“That I know that counselling helps people to explore the choices in life, change and to grow.”

What do you believe we achieve for the community?

“That we have an organisation that engages directly and transforms the communities we work in. We provide employment to the counsellors in our NHS service or staff, as well as services to clients who live locally.”
