Fiona is a BACP Accredited Psychodynamic Counsellor and Psychotherapist. She has been part of The Counselling Foundation since 2006, having trained at the St Albans Centre. She has been a Personal Tutor to a number of Diploma Course Year 2 students from both Bedford and St Albans Training Centres and also has experience as a marker for the year 2 essays. As well as working extensively with open-ended clients, she also has experience of working with clients on a short-term basis as part of the Foundation’s NHS contract. She has worked on a Domiciliary Counselling contract, visiting housebound clients in their home and recently provided short-term counselling services on an Employer Assisted Programme (EAP) basis.
Fiona has now taken the position of St Albans Centre head and will also be tutoring on the Diploma 1 course at the Bedford Centre in the next academic year.
Fiona is keen to continue building a sense of teamwork and mutual support amongst all those using the St Albans Centre. She relishes the prospect of seeing students at the Centre develop and grow as practitioners. She will be working with the rest of the team to enhance and develop the Centre’s services and initiatives within the local community in order to further the Counselling Foundation’s charitable aims.
